Blessing for My Dog
“Dear Lord, please bless my dog, my cherished pet.
Protect him from harm and shelter him from illness.
Let him run, jump and play throughout his life, as if he were forever young.
Help him to always keep his precious smile and his happiness shown in the wag of his tail.
Please let him know how he lives in my heart and that his gift of friendship is a true treasure.
And when, dear Lord, the time comes for us to part, please surround him with angels and with your love until we meet again in Heaven.”
