Space Odyssey

I don’t watch TV much. Most TV programs on Hong Kong’s free TV channels are uninteresting to me. But last week, I watched a TV program so fascinating that I want to buy a DVD copy of it! The program is called “Space Odyssey: Voyage to the Planets”, produced by the BBC. It is a half documentary, half drama, about a mission to explore other planets in the Solar System.

One of the greatest things about this program is the scientific accuracy. The visuals of the planets are based on real photos taken by NASA probes. The space vehicles also seem to be based on actual prototype designs. The technologies are real, currently under research. The acting is very convincing, while the dangers they face are real possible hazards in space.

The film is so realistic it makes me forget I am watching a drama, but watching a full documentary instead. In fact I believe it is very close to what would really happen in the future. I have always been interested in space science, and I’ve watched many TV programs and movies of such subject before, however this one is simply the best. If you have access to the BBC TV channel, check your TV guide and find out the schedule of the program, this is a must see!
