My Letter to “Long Hair”
Dear Long Hair,
If you are dismissed from legco because of the stupid oath, it will be a complete waste of people’s votes. Staying in the legco will give you much better chances to make an impact in the government and the society. For the benefits of Hong Kong, and be responsible to your supporters, please just take the oath.
I know the modifications that you requested are reasonable, however some rules must be followed no matter how stupid they are. You are doing a public service, please give up your heroism.

Well said. Actually, I would say something slightly different. As soon as he became a candidate he accepted the oath. You can’t run for one thing, win then want something else instead. It was part of the package.
But you are utterly correct. 60,000 + people will immediately be disenfranchised if he gets himself thrown out and that will be unforgivable.
